Stop Smoking Now!
“ Acupuncture can be very helpful in bringing the body, mind, and spirit back to balance and wellness.”
Smoking is one of the most difficult addictions to eliminate. People try many methods to stop cravings and addiction, only to fail, leaving feelings of self-doubt and guilt.
Long-term and/or heavy smoking can lead to diseases such as stroke, emphysema, hypertension, and lung/other cancers.
Second-hand smoke (smoke that is inhaled by people that live, or work with a smoker) has a similar lethal impact on the body.
It’s estimated that approximately 440,000 people die every year in the U.S. as a result of smoking and other tobacco products.
Acupuncture can be very helpful in bringing the body, mind, and spirit back to balance and wellness. Acupuncture, and associated modalities, is used to stimulate the body to heal itself. As opposed to palliative or temporary techniques, acupuncture attempts to access the root of the problem, so that true wellness and healing can be found.
The NADA (National Acupuncture Detox Association) protocol is an auricular acupuncture treatment plan that has been clinically shown to help reduce the side effects associated with cigarette withdraw and detoxification: including jitters, cravings, irritability, and restlessness. All with 5 hair-thin needles in the ear.
The most important thing when entering into an acupuncture treatment to help with smoking cessation is that you are willing to quit. Addiction affects the body and the mind, so there are many layers to work through (physical and mental habits/cravings).
If you DO want to quit, we will work together to help reduce cravings, clear the lungs, and diminish the anxiety associated with quitting. Many people that use acupuncture to quit smoking have found that within 1-3 treatments, there is a reduction in the amount or elimination of cravings for cigarettes.
