Sal Masi, D.C.
Dr. Sal Masi is a chiropractor
and clinical nutritionist. He offers a holistic approach
to health care for all of his patients. His treatments are
thorough and gentle incorporating a complete examination and
evaluation of the patients complaint followed by a review
of the diagnosis and possible treatment options.
Treatments
can include chiropractic manipulations, sacral occipital techniques,
postural balancing, muscle stretching, myofascial release,
massage therapy and nutritional protocols to enhance healing.
Recommendations for home care including flexibility and strengthening
exercises and ergonomic and biomechanical considerations are discussed after the acute phase of treatment and healing have been completed.
Dr. Masi treats all patient populations including infants,
children, adults, elderly, athletes and disabled individuals
with excellent success. Each treatment protocol is individually developed for the patient's specific needs.
He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic
from the University of Bridgeport, College of Chiropractic
graduating Summa Cum Laude, and his Master of Science of Clinical
Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport.
Dr. Masi a member
of the faculty at The New York College of Health Professions and at Nassau Community College, Department of
Applied Health Sciences where he teaches all core Western
Sciences, Soft Tissue Technique and Clinical Nutrition.
He
hosts public lectures covering a wide range of health care
topics and is available for your group or organization and is a monthly lecturer a Wild by Nature in Huntington Village. Dr. Masi writes monthly articles for local publications covering a wide variety of topics about healthcare and nutrition.

Barbara Colao, L.M.T.
Barbara Colao is a licensed massage therapist and Staff Manager of the massage practice at Natural Care Chiropractic. Barbara's practice is focused on natural healing and uses an individualized approach with each client.
Ms. Colao first became
interested in massage while working with a Doctor of Osteopathy
in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was during that time, assisting
in the care of patients, that Barbara became very sympathetic
to their needs for pain relief. She attended a workshop that
introduced her to the healing affects of massage and that
ultimately led her back to school. She attended the New York
College for Holistic Health Education and Research. There
she trained in Swedish and AMMA Techniques and earned an Associates
Degree of Occupational Studies in Massage Therapy.
Since then
Barbara has continued to learn techniques to enhance her skill. Hot Stone Massage as well as Thai Massage and Reflexology are are such techniques available. She also teaches infant massage to parents.
Susan L. Krencik, L.M.T. Susan is a senior therapist at Natural Care Chiropractic. Her techniques include Swedish, AMMA therapy, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Reflexology and Prenatal Massage. Susan incorporates stretching and trigger point therapy to enhance the results of her treatments. She is also trained in body treatments that exfoliate and hydrate the skin. Susan's motivation to to help others has led to a successful practice in the office and is a valuable asset.
Erica Henesey, Certified Yoga InstructorErica Henesey has been teaching yoga for the past three years. She has been a dedicated yogini (female yoga practitioner) for the past nine years. Her certifications include; Yoga (NESTA, YogaFit), Mat Pilates (NESTA), and Pre/Post Natal Maternity Yoga (Motherwell). Erica also has a B.S. of Psychology from SUNY Empire State College.
Erica's teachings blend a Hatha Yoga foundation with a concentration
on Pilates core (abdominal) work that develops into a flow of asanas
(postures) and pranyama (breath). Ideally the practice will help in-
crease strength, stamina, and flexibility. Students will learn how to use
proper muscle groups and alignment to help aid in any healing process
and to maintain good physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

John Antinora, D.C. Dr. Antinora defines chiropractic as a nonpharmaceutical, nonsurgical system of health carebased on the self-healing capacity of the body and the primary importance of the proper function of the nervous system in the maintenance of health. He treats all people from infants to the elderly and his therapy is aimed at removing irritants to the nervous system and restoring proper function. He has also appeared on the Doctor Atkins radio program and WLIR 92.7FM “Health Talk” as a health expert for their Saturday morning radio program. In addition he hosts public lectures covering a wide range of health care topics and is available for your group or organization.
Dr. Antinora is a member of the New York Chiropractic Council, New York State Chiropractic Association, American MENSA®, and Order Sons of Italy in America.
Katie Conway, D.C. Dr. Katie Conway received her Doctorate of Chiropractic from The University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Conway uses a gentle approach to chiropractic care. Following a thorough examination, she incorporates various treatment protocols, including flexion-distraction, myofascial release, deep tissue massage, postural/gait analysis, core stability and strengthening, as well as instructions on home exercise and rehabilitation. Dr. Conway is well versed in treating a variety of neck and low back conditions, as well as several other anatomical/physiological complaints. Dr. Conway is a proponent of "Wellness Care", in order to restore and maintain optimal health.
Melanie Murphy, L.M.T. Melanie Murphy L.M.T is a graduate of New York College, and a staff member at Natural Care Chiropractic. Melanie uses her skills in AMMA Therapy and Trigger Point Therapy to enhance the therapeutic effect of her Swedish massage. She is currently pursuing a degree and license in acupuncture at the New York College, and expects to graduate in August 2007. She looks forward to transitioning from a career in massage, into one of both massage and acupuncture. With a strong background in Eastern Medicine, Melanie incorporates her knowledge of Chinese Medicine and techniques from the Chinese AMMA Massage, which focuses on moving the energy of the body, into her massages.
Jinyeon Kim, L.Ac. Jin is a Licensed Acupuncturist and member of the staff of Natural Care Chiropractic. Jin is originally from Korea and went to Australia to study and eventually get a degree as a Pharmacist. She later came to New York and became interested in Acupuncture and persued her degree. With a background in Western and Eastern medicine, Jin is able to bring both philosophies to her treatments. Jin treats many diseases and disorders such as, headaches, digestive disorders, infertility, backache, as well as many others. She also uses herbal medicine to complement her acupuncture care when necessary.
Jeanette Ryan, L.M.T. Jeanette Ryan L.M.T. is a graduate of New York College, and a staff member at Natural Care Chiropractic. Jeanette incorporates her skills in AMMA Therapy and Trigger Point Therapy into her Swedish massage to create a deeply therapeutic and relaxing treatment. She is trained in pregnancy massage, hot stone therapy Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, facial rejuvenation and body treatments to soothe and condition your skin.
Vanessa M. Friedlander Vanessa earned an Associates Degree in Massage Therapy from The NY College of Health Professions. Her massage techniques include Amma, Swedish, Medical, Trigger Point Therapy, Chair, Thai, Shiatsu, and Reiki. Her approach to massage incorporates Chinese and European techniques to enhance the healing process. Vanessa always strives to treat from her heart and intuition.
Her diverse background includes a BA in Psychology, and minors in Theatre and Spanish. Extensive training in dance and yoga, help her to further comprehend the beauty and complexity of the body.
Vanessa is also a certified Special Ed TA and a tutor at NY College. She enjoys teaching and continuously learning from her students. Vanessa is very happy to be a part of a wonderful establishment such as Natural Care Chiropractic. It is her hope to help build a healthier and happier community via Wholistic Education.
Joyce Roschnotti, L.M.T. Joyce is a graduate of New York College and a member of the staff at Natural Care Chiropractic. Joyce incorporates techniques such as AMMA Therapy, Hot Stone, Swedish, and Prenatal Massage, according to each clients specific needs. Joyce is currently pursuing her esthetician license specializing in anti-aging treatments. She is looking forward to combining old world techniques with new age technology to provide the best in skin care and massage therapy.
